Meet Mr. McGinley

I am currently a Computer Literacy Teacher in a school in New Jersey. I teach students from Kindergarten to 5th grade. I use my 20+ years of teaching experience to create Educational Activities for my students to use in my Computer Lab. I call these activities, L.A.B.S., Learning Activity Based Systems. They are not g*mes. I do not use the "G" word in my classroom.

My Mission

My mission is to make an impact beyond the classroom. I’m passionate about creating L.A.B.S. that help students learn skills and knowledge by turning 'boring' subjects into "aha!" moments.

Case Study: Accelerating EdTech with AI

Executive Summary Founded by Daniel McGinley, a veteran computer literacy educator with over 20 years of classroom experience, Mr. McGinley Labs is a specialized educational platform delivering safe, ad-free Learning Activity Based Systems (L.A.B.S.). By leveraging AI as a technical co-developer, a non-technical founder was able to architect, optimize, and launch a highly scalable, web-based curriculum platform in less than three weeks, achieving rapid global traction.

The Problem: The Gap in Digital Literacy Tools Modern elementary computer labs face a dual challenge: traditional typing and digital skills software is often laden with distracting advertisements, or it lacks strict pedagogical alignment. Educators need focused environments where students can practice essential mechanics—such as home-row finger isolation, predictive physics, and click-and-drag fine motor control—without navigating a traditional "gaming" ecosystem.

The Solution: LLM-Assisted Pedagogy Launched in March 2026, this platform utilized LLM technology to translate two decades of classroom expertise into deployable digital architecture. The platform features categorized skill modules ranging from early elementary trackpad practice to advanced physics-based problem solving.
