Mr. McGinley Labs is an educational platform designed by a computer literacy educator to provide student-safe, interactive Learning Activity Based Systems (L.A.B.S.). This Site is intended for use by elementary-aged learners, educators, and parents. This AUP applies to all visitors, users, and others who access the Site.
2. Appropriate Use
You are encouraged to use the Site and its L.A.B.S. for educational exploration, computer-based skill building, and classroom instruction. Users must interact with the Site in a manner consistent with its educational purpose and respectful of the learning environment.
3. Prohibited Activities
To maintain the integrity and security of the Site, the following activities are strictly prohibited. You agree not to:
Scrape or Copy: Download, copy, mirror, or reverse-engineer any portion of the Site, including its underlying HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or game assets, without prior written consent.
Engage in Malicious Activity: Attempt to hack, disrupt server operations, bypass security features, or introduce viruses, malware, or other destructive code.
Embed Without Authorization: Frame, embed, or otherwise syndicate the L.A.B.S. on third-party websites or platforms without explicit permission.
Misuse Contact Information: Use the Site’s contact channels (e.g., mrm@mrmlabs.org) for transmitting spam, unsolicited promotions, or any communications unrelated to legitimate Site inquiries.
4. Privacy and Student Safety
The safety of our student users is our highest priority. The Site is designed to be 100% compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
We require no user accounts or logins.
We do not collect, store, or share any personal identifying information from our users.
All L.A.B.S. are hosted natively to prevent external redirects and third-party data tracking.
Users are encouraged to report any unexpected glitches, inappropriate content, or technical issues immediately.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality on the Site—including but not limited to the L.A.B.S., custom code, graphics, logos, and text—are the exclusive property of Mr. McGinley Labs and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Educators are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Site and its L.A.B.S. for classroom instruction. However, the underlying code, mechanics, and assets may not be redistributed, sold, or claimed as another individual's or entity's work.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
The Site and all L.A.B.S. are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Mr. McGinley Labs does not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
In no event shall Mr. McGinley Labs be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including but not limited to temporary downtime, device malfunctions, or disruptions to classroom lesson plans.

No Guarantee of Results: The educational games, typing exercises, and resources provided on this Site are meant for supplementary practice. Mr. McGinley Labs makes no guarantees regarding specific academic outcomes, grades, or skill proficiencies resulting from the use of this Site.
Physical Strain: Prolonged use of computers, keyboards, and mice can lead to physical strain or repetitive stress injuries. Users (and their parents/guardians or educators) are responsible for ensuring appropriate ergonomic setups and taking regular breaks. User-Generated Content & Educator Submissions Sections of the Site, such as the "Teachers Lounge" or "Teachers helping Teachers," may eventually allow educators to submit ideas, files, or comments. By submitting content, you grant Mr. McGinley Labs a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the Site. You warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to share any content you submit.
